For the third consecutive fall season, the Bridgeport Field of Dreams Foundation was proud to sponsor a four-week Middle School Girls’ Basketball Clinic. Over 40 girls per session received both individual and team skills instruction from the coaching staffs at Bassick, Central and Harding High Schools, with varsity players from the three schools serving as “coaching interns” at the sessions.
The clinic serves a nice lead in to the Bridgeport Middle School Basketball League season which begins in January. The sessions also created a nice bond between the Bridgeport High School coaching staffs, their players and the middle school athletes, which hopefully leads to future Bassick Lady Lions, Central Lady Hilltoppers, and Harding Lady Presidents.
